ASCA Level 2 Course – The Swim Stroke School

R 3,250.00

The ASCA Level 2 School is designed to help coaches achieve a professional knowledge base for teaching effective technique and proper mechanics, while simultaneously reinforcing healthy progressions at each developmental level in the sport. This course incorporates step-by-step examples of technique-based skills and progressions coupled with video demonstrations.

Once ASCA members have passed Level 1 and Level 2 courses, and have coached for at least 6 months, they will become ASCA Level 2 Certified.

Description

This version of the ASCA Level 2 course is watched on-demand, in your own time, and at your own pace via YouTube. You are required to watch the recorded sessions prior to joining the monthly online meet-up with the assigned mentor coach in person. This way your mentor coach can personally answer all your questions and discuss any concerns that may arise from the content you have already viewed. This will make for a more interactive and engaging experience for you as a coach & allow your mentor coach to really share their knowledge & expertise.
After attending 2 compulsory online meetings, which are 2 hours long, and on successful completion of the online test you will be issued with your ASCA Level 2 Certificate (assuming you have completed ASCA Level 1). The meetings will be hosted every 2nd month, generally on a Saturday afternoon.
You can join the course & attend the meetings at any time in the year, just as long as you have watched at least 50% of the course content.  Be prepared for the mentor meetings with a page full of questions!

Compulsory mentor meeting dates (you must attend 2):
Aug 3, 2024 15:30
Oct 5, 2024 15:30

The first session in 2025 will be in early February.
